Some cultural assets recovered in a half century of investigative activity of the Carabinieri Cultural Heritage Protection

The exhibition is held to mark the 50th anniversary of the Carabinieri Cultural Heritage, a specialized department of the Carabinieri instituted 3 May 1969 to counter crimes against our historical and artistic heritage.

Exposed some of the most significant cultural assets recovered in half a century of intense and fruitful investigative activity, together with works returned to the national artistic heritage thanks to the action of cultural diplomacy implemented jointly with the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture.

Visitors will see objects that have been stolen from churches, museums, archaeological areas, Libraries and archives, and learn at the same time the story of their recovery; Also on display will be exhibited some goods safely placed in the central Italian areas affected by the tragic earthquake of 2016. Our specialized staff will guide visitors along the exhibition and consultation of the available online database.

Among the masterpieces on display the Madonna of Senigallia by Piero della Francesca, the Euphronios Krater, the Trapezophoros, the Capitoline Triad, The Vincent Van Gogh gardener, The Shed di Jourdan Paul Cézanne, the Castellani jewelery, The Holy Family with St. Andrea Mantegna.

The conception and design of the body is Michelangelo Lupo, The exhibition catalog is published by De Luca Editori d'Arte.
